MTAS Gathering

The first 'official' MTAS Gathering will take place in Edinburgh in October.

The Dates:-

Friday 12th October - Sunday 14th October 2001

The Venue:-

Jury's Hotel, Jeffrey Street, Edinburgh.

The hotel has a three star rating and is situated just behind the Royal Mile overlooking Princes Street and literally yards from Waverley train Station.
The rooms are £70 per room per night B+B. If a third person shares the room there will be a £5.00 for the third breakfast

The Schedule:-

Friday 12th October:

Arrive, settle into accommodation, few drinks at pub, early night for early start Saturday!

Saturday 13th October:

8:15 (optional - extra cost of £18.00 per head)
Meet at Haggis Adventures, Royal Mile for private midibus "Mountains, Lochs and Whisky" tour of the Loch Tay area of Scotland with Haggis Adventures

Sights include Doune Castle - as featured in Life of Brian, Balquidder, Fortingall stone circle, whisky tasting at Glenturret Distillery etc etc etc
Arrive back in Edinburgh ~ 6pm.

Saturday evening:-

More drinks in the bar and general gossip followed by optional visit to The Mission, Edinburgh's goth night club (around a £5.00 entry)

Sunday 14th October:-

10am (approx!) "Highlander -Endgame" followed by discussion :))

12 noon - break for lunch

2pm - Clanranald tour down High Street

3:30 - return to hotel for more videos and chat. I'm hoping that *maybe* just *maybe* someone will let me show you all the now infamous rendition of 'Sweet Transvestite'....maybe a chat with Chick Allan of Clanranald on his role in Gladiator who knows?

evening:- back to the bar for drinks, chat, gossip and general natter.

Please note that this weekend is limited to MTAS members and invited guests only, if you want to invite someone along please let me know beforehand so that they can be authorised, also remember that you will be responsible for them!

Numbers are also strictly limited to the first thirty applicants so get in early people!

All bookings and payments must be received by 1st September 2001 - any cancellations after this date will be non-refundable
